B. J. Potter

B. J. Potter has extensive work experience in engineering and research roles. B. J. is currently employed at ASRC Federal as a Principal Engineer since April 2019. Previously, they worked at LS Technologies, LLC as an Engineer since July 2013. B. J. also has experience working at the FAA as an Engineer, where they were responsible for anomaly investigation and system monitoring as part of the FAA WAAS operations team. B. J. started this role in September 2008. Before joining the FAA, B. J. worked as an Engineer II at Access Optics, where they specialized in small optical components for the medical device industry. B. J. worked there from September 2007 to June 2008. Prior to that, B. J. was a Senior Process Engineer at Cypress Semiconductor, Inc. from 2005 to 2007. B. J.'searliest work experience was as a Research Assistant at the University of Minnesota, where they developed a wavelength-tunable infrared detector under the guidance of Dr. Joey Talghader. This role took place from 2003 to 2005.

B. J. Potter completed a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, from the years 2003 to 2007. Prior to this, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Oklahoma State University between 1999 and 2003. Additionally, they attended PyCon conferences in 2013 and 2016, but did not pursue any specific degrees or fields of study at those events.
