Michael Pafumi has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Michael began their career at American Management Systems (AMS) in 1999 as a Consultant, where they gained valuable expertise. In 2004, they joined DaVita as a Manager, Revenue Systems. In this role, they managed revenue systems for the company for over five years. In 2010, Michael joined CGI Federal as a Director, Consulting. Michael led the Health IT Interoperability Practice, overseeing federal and commercial projects related to health information exchange. Michael served as the Program Manager for CONNECT, an open-source interoperability solution. In 2015, they joined ASRC Federal as the Director, Federal Health Solutions. Michael played a significant role in leading software development, systems integration, and health interoperability programs in the federal healthcare market, with a focus on projects in the Defense Healthcare Management Systems agency. In 2018, they were promoted to Vice President, Federal Health Programs at ASRC Federal. Michael collaborated with executive and business development leadership to position ASRC Federal in the federal health IT market.
Michael Pafumi attended the University of Virginia from 1995 to 1999, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science. Prior to that, they completed their secondary education at Randolph High School from 1991 to 1995. Additionally, they obtained several certifications including Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) and Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from Scrum Alliance, as well as the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in 2010.
