Dick Gort has a diverse work experience in the real estate industry. Dick started their career at Starke Diekstra as a Real Estate Project Manager. Dick then worked at the Erasmus University Rotterdam as a Student Assistant in Marketing Management & Expert Systems. After completing their military service at the Ministerie van Defensie, they joined Paul F. de Haas & Co as the Head of Real Estate Management.
Gort then moved on to Mn Services, where they held multiple roles including Portfoliomanager, Acquisition Manager for Commercial Real Estate, and Acquisition Manager for Commercial & Residential Real Estate. Dick then joined Achmea Vastgoed as the Head of Office and Industrial Investments.
In 2007, Gort became the CEO of a.s.r. real estate. Dick later served as CEO of ASR Vastgoed Ontwikkeling N.V., playing a key role in its development until 2015. In 2016, Gort became the CEO of ASR Vastgoed Projecten B.V. Currently, they are a member of the Supervisory Board and the Audit Committee at Eigen Haard, starting from June 2019.

Dick Gort has a diverse education history. Dick attended S.G. De Vlietschans in Leiden from 1981 to 1987, where they pursued VWO/Atheneum. Following this, they enrolled at Erasmus University Rotterdam from 1987 to 1993, majoring in Business Administration. Next, they obtained a Real Estate Broker certification from SVM (School voor Vastgoed & Makelaardij) between 1994 and 1996. Dick later furthered their education at the University of Amsterdam from 1998 to 2000, gaining a Postdoctoral Master of Real Estate from the Amsterdam School of Real Estate. Lastly, in 2006, they attended IMD for a short term course on High Performance Leadership.
