Paterne Edzang Mbot

Paterne Edzang Mbot currently serves as the North Assets Geosciences Team Lead and Principal Petroleum Engineer at Assala Energy since June 2024, leading a multidisciplinary team in geosciences and petroleum engineering studies, and managing significant capital projects for mature oil fields. Previously, from November 2017 to January 2023 at Assala Energy, Paterne held various roles including Senior Special Projects Well Performance & Process Engineer, where innovative artificial lift designs were introduced, and Deputy Asset Manager & Head of Operations North Assets, overseeing a large operations team to meet production targets. Earlier experience includes team leadership and project management roles at Shell Gabon, Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappij BV, and Shell, with a strong focus on production increase and technical assurance. Paterne holds an Executive MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and advanced degrees in Petroleum Engineering and Mathematics from prestigious institutions.
