Barbara Imperiali

Barbara Imperiali is the Class of 1922 Professor of Biology and Chemistry at MIT since 1999. Barbara is also the Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer at AssayQuant Technologies, a company Barbara co-founded in July 2015. Prior to that, Barbara was a Professor of Chemistry at the California Institute of Technology from 1989 to 1999. Imperiali holds a Ph.D in Synthetic Organic Chemistry from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a B.Sc in Medicinal Chemistry from University College London. Barbara is known for their work as an academic, researcher, and educator in the field of biology and chemistry.
