Luke Andrews

Luke Andrews has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of UX design and management. Luke is currently serving as the Head of UX at Assembled since January 2022. Before that, Luke worked as a Principal Designer at Nearby from September 2021 to November 2021.

Prior to their role at Nearby, Luke held multiple positions at Shopify. Luke started as a Staff UX Developer from January 2020 to December 2020 and then transitioned to the role of User Experience Manager from January 2021 to September 2021.

Luke also has experience as the Co-Founder & VP Product & Design at Ellipsis Co. from May 2016 to December 2019. Before that, they worked as the Lead Product Designer at Change.org from March 2015 to April 2016.

Luke's early career includes significant roles at Twitter, where they served as a Lead Designer and played a crucial role in the design and development of Twitter Ads and Analytics. Luke was involved in the product from its inception in 2010 and worked until September 2014. During their final year at Twitter, they led a team of 12 designers focusing on Twitter's business products.

Before Twitter, Luke worked as a Design lead and front-end engineer at Dabble DB from September 2004 to August 2010, where they were responsible for designing and building the product as well as handling client-side JavaScript.

In their early years, Luke worked as a Freelance Web Designer at Attaboy Media from September 2000 to July 2006, catering to various clients ranging from artists and arts organizations to small businesses. Luke also gained experience as a Sr. Web Designer at Concordia University from September 1998 to December 2004, leading the redesign of the university's primary website and winning awards for their work. Additionally, Luke worked as a Web Designer at Communicate.com for a summer in 1998.

From 1997 to 2000, Luke Andrews attended Concordia University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree with Distinction in the field of Communication Studies.
