Murali Nemani

Murali Nemani is an advisor at Assertion and a former CMO and SVP of product management and marketing. Murali has also worked as a guest lecturer at Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Nemani began their career as a CMO at ScienceLogic in October 2017. Murali was responsible for successfully creating an AIOps category, establishing #1 or #2 in market leadership and driving demand generation efforts to achieve ~30% ARR growth. In four years, they scaled the business from $40M-$140M in ARR and the marketing org from 12-40 FTEs, generating consistently ~4x pipeline. Murali also expanded global marketing support for EMEA and APAC. Under their leadership, the company became a Forrester WAVE LEADER for AIOPs and a Leader in Gartner AIOps Market Guide. The company was also named #1 or #2 in SOV for AIOps 3 years running.

In March 2013, Nemani joined ActiveVideo as CMO & SVP of product management and marketing. Murali was responsible for the company’s product strategy, go-to-market plans and execution, as well as all aspects of marketing. In July 2017, the company was acquired by ARRIS & Charter Communications.

Nemani has also worked as a guest lecturer at Stanford Graduate School of Business since May 2012, teaching courses on marketing and product management.

Murali Nemani completed an Executive Education program in Leadership Development from Harvard Business School. Murali then went on to earn their MBA in Management from Michigan State University. Finally, they completed their BSEE in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of South Carolina.
