Sheryl Sommer has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of nursing education. Sheryl began their career at Loyola University Chicago in 2004 as the Associate Dean of the Undergraduate Nursing Program, where they played a key role in implementing and overseeing the nursing curriculum. Sheryl then moved on to Creighton University in 2006, where they served as the Chair of the Traditional BSN Nursing Program.

In 2007, Sommer joined ATI Nursing Education as the Director of Nursing Education & Curriculum.
