Jin Yan is a machine learning engineer currently at AssetWatch® since June 2025. Previously, Jin served as a research engineer at SRI International from May 2023 to July 2024 and as a data scientist at PARC between September 2020 and June 2023, focusing on IoT solutions that include sensor data streaming, anomaly detection, and analytics presentation. Prior experience includes a research assistant role at Iowa State University from January 2017 to November 2020, where Jin developed algorithms for real-time monitoring and smart sensing technologies, along with a teaching assistantship in structural analysis. Jin also participated as an Insight Fellow, creating a skincare refill management application. Jin holds a PhD in Civil Engineering from Iowa State University, an MS in Computer Science, and a master's degree in Civil Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, as well as a B.E. in Civil Engineering from Central South University.
