James Lloyd-Williams

James Lloyd-Williams has extensive work experience in risk management and governance. James is currently the Head of Risk at Assetz Capital. Prior to this role, James worked as a Director at JLW Governance & Risk Solutions Limited, where they provided interim risk and compliance resources and improved risk and compliance frameworks. James also served as a Governance and Risk Consultant at N Brown Group, assessing risk governance and creating risk management documentation. James has experience in designing and implementing risk management frameworks as an Interim Head of Operational & Information Security Risk at Chetwood Financial Limited and as a Senior Risk Manager at BGL Group. Earlier in their career, James worked at Co-op Insurance, The Co-operative Banking Group, and CO-OPERATIVE INSURANCE SOCIETY LIMITED in various risk and governance roles. James began their career as a Cost and Profitability Analyst at Girobank.

James Lloyd-Williams attended Queen Elizabeth Grammar School in Penrith from 1987 to 1990. James did not obtain a degree at this institution.

From 1991 to 1995, James Lloyd-Williams studied at Nottingham Business School, Nottingham Trent University. James earned a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) degree in Financial Services during this time.

Additionally, James Lloyd-Williams obtained several certifications. In 2008, they became a Chartered Management Accountant through the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). In 2012, they achieved the designation of Chartered Global Management Accountant through the same institution.

In the year 2020, they obtained two certifications related to information security and risk management. James became an ISO 22301 Certified BCMS Lead Auditor (CBC LA) through IBITGQ, and an ISO 27005 Certified ISMS Risk Management (CIS RM) through the same institution.

Furthermore, James Lloyd-Williams completed training courses in the field of information security. James participated in the Certified ISO 22301 BCMS Lead Auditor Training Course offered by IT Governance Ltd, and also completed the Certified ISO 27005 ISMS Risk Management Training from the same institution.
