Ray Cahill

Ray Cahill has extensive work experience in the legal and corporate governance field. Ray is currently serving as the Director of Corporate Governance at Associated British Foods plc since December 2020. Prior to this, they held the position of Deputy Company Secretary/Head of UK Secretariat from July 2019 to December 2020. Ray also served as the Associate General Counsel for Asia Pacific - Compliance from January 2015 to July 2019, and as the Senior Legal Counsel - Competition from October 2012 to December 2014, both at Associated British Foods plc. Before joining Associated British Foods plc, Ray worked at Herbert Smith LLP, where they held various roles including Of Counsel from May 2008 to October 2012, Senior Associate from September 2003 to May 2008, and Associate from September 1999 to September 2003.

Ray Cahill earned a LLB Law with European Law degree from the University of Nottingham between 1992 and 1996. In 1994 to 1995, they also participated in an ERASMUS exchange program at Justus Liebig University Giessen. Additionally, Ray Cahill holds the certification of Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales.
