Gena McElwain

Gena McElwain is a clinical therapist and mental health practitioner at the Associated Clinic of Psychology since August 2018. Prior experience includes serving as a career navigator for RESOURCE, Inc., where Gena developed career pathways in healthcare, IT, and manufacturing while supporting students' self-esteem and program graduation. Gena worked as a recruiting manager for Doherty: The Employment Experts, where recruitment strategies were designed for various sectors, and as a human resources coordinator at Computer Network Technology, providing administrative support and improving HR processes. Gena began a career in management at Kohl's Department Stores, overseeing operations and employee management. Gena holds a Master's of Arts in Counseling and Student Personnel Psychology from the University of Minnesota, as well as degrees in Business, Human Resources from the same university and an Associate of Science in Business from Normandale Community College.
