Barbara Parnarouskis

Barbara Parnarouskis has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Barbara is currently the Director, Virtual Learning at the Associated General Contractors of America, a position that they started in 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Education at the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce from 2020 to 2020. In their role, they successfully transitioned in-person education events to online virtual delivery in response to COVID-19 and created content videos for on-demand access. Barbara also curated and produced a COVID webinar series on doing business in a virtual environment.

Before their time at the Chamber of Commerce, Barbara held several roles at NAIOP from 2006 to 2019. Barbara started as an Education Manager and gradually progressed to Senior Education Manager and eventually Vice President for Education. In these positions, they developed and enhanced educational programs, collaborated with internal teams and volunteer committees, and evaluated the efficacy of education and conference offerings. Barbara also played a key role in implementing online educational programs, training and supervising staff, and designing marketing materials.

Prior to NAIOP, Barbara worked as a Professional Development Coordinator at CMAA from 2004 to 2006, supporting the Training Director in training programs, conferences, and webinars. Barbara also has experience as a Site Manager/Field Supervisor at Ardent Impressions Inc., a Marketing Programs Specialist at GetThere, an Office Manager at Keynote Systems, an Account Manager at Heritage Exhibits, and a Trade Show Manager at DataQuick.
