Peter Tomfohrde

Peter Tomfohrde, PE, is an experienced mechanical engineer and engineering department manager with a comprehensive background in HVAC and plumbing design. Currently serving as the Engineering Department Manager at Associated Mechanical Contractors, Inc. since November 2020, Peter oversees project workflows, mentors junior designers, and manages mechanical and plumbing document production using AutoCAD and Revit. Previously, Peter held positions as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Philos Mechanical, focusing on forming an in-house mechanical design team, and as a Mechanical Engineer at Life Time, concentrating on high-performance designs. Peter's career also includes roles at SEH, General Sheet Metal Company, and Metropolitan Mechanical Contractors, among others, with a foundation in mechanical engineering established through a Bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota.
