Bryan Pollard is an experienced communications consultant and journalist specializing in Indigenous communities, currently serving as the Grant Operations Manager at The Associated Press since July 2021. With nearly 20 years in consulting, Bryan has developed diverse strategies for editorial practices, improving coverage, and fostering cross-cultural relationships. As a board member of High Country News, Bryan contributes to independent media focusing on the American West. Additionally, Bryan has held various roles, including plenary speaker and fellow with organizations like the Global Investigative Journalism Network and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Bryan's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Louisiana State University, a Master of Arts in Documentary Filmmaking from the University of Arkansas, and a fellowship at Stanford University, along with various training programs in leadership and management.
