Chris Sherman is an experienced journalist currently serving as the Bureau Chief for Mexico and Central America at The Associated Press since January 2008. Previously, Chris held roles as a correspondent and as the Rio Grande Valley correspondent at the same organization. In addition, Chris was a Knight Wallace Journalism Fellow at the University of Michigan, focusing on the effects of armed conflict on civilians from September 2010 to May 2011. Prior journalistic experience includes reporting for the Orlando Sentinel from January 2003 to January 2008 and for The Daily Record from April 2002 to December 2002. Chris holds a Master's degree in Journalism from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor's degree in International Politics & Economics and Spanish from Middlebury College.
