Jeff McMurray

Jeff McMurray has extensive experience in journalism, having worked at the Associated Press since November 1998 in various roles including Editor and Reporter, Lexington Correspondent, and Washington Regional Reporter. McMurray has coordinated political campaign coverage, conducted training for writers, and managed breaking news stories. Achievements include leading significant coverage of Comair Flight 5191, earning awards for feature writing, and participating in high-profile events such as the 2000 Republican National Convention and the 2001 events following the terrorist attacks. Prior to this, McMurray held reporting positions at Kearney Courier, Topeka Capital-Journal, and The Kansas City Star, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Government and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
