Jim Clarke has a diverse work experience in the field of journalism. Jim started their career as a Reporter at The Journal Newspapers in 1990. Jim then joined The Energy Daily as a Reporter, specifically covering Nuclear Power & the Weapons Complex, from 1991 to 1992. Jim then moved to The Associated Press and served as a Reporter/News Editor from 1995 to 1999, overseeing state news reports for Utah and Idaho. Jim also led coverage of major events such as the 2002 Winter Olympics and the Elizabeth Smart disappearance. In 1999, Jim became a News Editor at The Associated Press, overseeing news reports for Kansas and Missouri and leading coverage of national stories like the capture of the BTK serial killer.
