Karen Kaiser

Karen Kaiser is the SVP and General Counsel at The Associated Press. Karen has dedicated their career to First Amendment litigation, working previously as Senior Counsel for East Coast Media at Tribune Company, and as an Associate at Cahill Gordon & Reindel. Karen began their career as a financial analyst for Prudential Securities in the Municipal Bonds division.

After completing their undergraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania, Karen Kaiser attended Fordham University School of Law, where they earned their JD. Karen then went on to complete an Executive Education program in Crisis Leadership at Columbia Business School.

They are on a team with Julie Pace - SVP, Executive Editor, Jason Smith - Director, Customer Impact & Special Projects, and Brian Doyle - Director, Product Management. Karen Kaiser reports to Daisy Veerasingham, CEO.
