Tom Murphy

Tom Murphy is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in health care and business reporting. Currently serving as a national health writer for The Associated Press since January 2007, Tom focuses on the impact of health care changes on patients, while also covering insurers, drugstores, and health care finance. Prior roles include national business reporter at The Associated Press, adjunct faculty at IUPUI, and reporter positions at the Indianapolis Business Journal, The Post-Standard, Anderson Independent-Mail, and Canandaigua Daily Messenger. Tom holds a master's degree in Magazine from Syracuse University and a bachelor's degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from St. Bonaventure University.
