Azwad B. Arif currently serves as the Student Body President of the Associated Student Government at Emporia State University, a position held since June 2024. Previously, Azwad worked as a Student Assistant and Student Gift Officer at the Emporia State University Foundation from August 2022 to May 2024. Additionally, Azwad held the roles of Legislative Director and Election Commissioner for the Associated Student Government from January 2023 to March 2024, where responsibilities included educating students about ASG positions and the election process. Azwad is pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer and Informatics at Emporia State University, expected to graduate in May 2026, and has a GED from the American Council on Education earned in March 2022, along with a High School Diploma obtained from Birshreshtha Noor Mohammad Public College in December 2021.

Associated Student Government at Emporia State University
The purpose of Emporia State University's Associated Student Government is to provide the means whereby the members of the student body may express themselves effectively through programs in areas which directly affect the general welfare of the student body in any aspect of the university experience in which they choose to participate. ASG establishes equitable representation and participation for the students in the governance of the university community and promotes mutually beneficial cooperation among students, faculty, staff, and administration in furthering the purposes for which the university was founded.
