Robert D'Ordine has over 20 years of work experience in the biotechnology industry. Robert started their career at Monsanto in 1999, where they held various roles including Senior Scientist, Core Member of Protein Design and Engineering Team, and Herbicide Tolerance Project Lead. In these positions, they contributed to the development and optimization of proteins involved in herbicide and stress tolerance, as well as performed data analysis and protein characterization for regulatory packages.
In 2011, D'Ordine joined Associates of Cape Cod, Inc. as a Senior Research Scientist and later transitioned to roles such as Principal Scientist and Associate Director of Product Development. In these roles, they demonstrated their expertise in assay design and development, project leadership, and research and evaluation of new opportunities and technologies. Robert also played a key role in the development and submission of a new in vitro diagnostic device for the detection of invasive fungal disease.
Robert D'Ordine has a strong background in Chemistry, with a focus on Biochemistry/Enzymology. Robert completed their undergraduate studies at the University of Rhode Island from 1986 to 1990, earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree. Robert then went on to pursue further education at Brown University, where they obtained a Ph.D. in Chemistry with a concentration in Biochemistry/Enzymology from 1990 to 1995. Following their Ph.D., Robert continued their academic journey at Purdue University as a NIH Post Doctoral Fellow in the Department of Medicinal Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology from 1995 to 1999.
