Bob McCurrach is currently the Director of Vision & Imaging Standards at the Association for Advancing Automation. Prior to this, they worked as a Manager of Process Improvement and Quality Lead Program Manager at BAE Systems, and before that as a Seating Systems Engineering Supervisor at Ford Motor Company.
Bob has over 25 years of experience in the automotive industry, and has been instrumental in driving organizational improvements and process efficiencies across their various roles. Bob has also implemented quality systems which have delivered significant reductions in defects per vehicle annually.
In their previous role at Ford Motor Company, Bob created an innovative vehicle solution by identifying and capturing new product technology for a self deploying load floor. This resulted in the company exceeding benchmarked competition. Bob also defined and managed all program elements that exceeded Federal Motor Vehicle System Safety (FMVSS) requirements and surpassed cost, weight and timing targets.
Bob is a highly experienced and respected leader in the automotive industry, with a proven track record in delivering results. Bob is passionate about continuous improvement and drives high standards across all areas of their work.
Bob McCurrach received their MBA from the Georgia Tech Scheller College of Business in Operations Management and Marketing. Prior to that, they received their BS in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University. Bob also has a certification from the Ford Motor Company in Green Belt.
