Professor Stephen Scott CBE is a distinguished academic and practitioner in the field of child health and behavior, currently serving as the Founder Director of Parenting Matters, an initiative aimed at supporting parents through interactive online courses and community engagement. As President of the Association for Child & Adolescent Mental Health (ACAMH), Professor Scott has modernized the organization, significantly enhancing its digital presence with increased outreach through various formats. In the role of Director at the National Academy for Parenting Research at King's College London, Professor Scott successfully secured substantial funding to train practitioners and conduct impactful research involving thousands of families. With an MD and a PhD in Parenting from the University of Cambridge, Professor Scott's extensive career includes a notable history as an NHS Consultant, where significant contributions were made to the understanding of effective parenting practices through rigorous research, including multiple randomized controlled trials.

We run a variety of CPD events throughout the year to support the professional development of all those working to support the mental health of children and young people. As a registered charity we reinvest any surplus generated into developing outputs for the benefit of the sector and our members. Membership starts from just 11p a day!
