Tinsley Smith

Tinsley Smith is an experienced leader in higher education administration, currently serving as Senior Director at the Association for Institutional Research since 2023, following a progression of roles within the organization that began in 2008 as Project Manager. Smith has a proven track record in managing teams and projects that support data-driven decision-making for educational professionals, overseeing a staff of over 30 contractors. Previous roles include Director of the Placement Office and Associate Director at Florida State University College of Law, and consulting positions with ACT. Smith holds a Master of Science in College Student Counseling and Personnel Services from Kansas State University and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Denison University, complemented by training from the National Outdoor Leadership School.
