Dennis Ballance

Dennis Ballance, DVM, CSPO, serves as the Senior Director of Health Technology & Informatics at Mars Veterinary Health since June 2022. With extensive experience in veterinary informatics, Dennis is also the Treasurer and Secretary/Treasurer for the Association for Veterinary Informatics since 2004, and co-chairs Working Group 25 of the DICOM Standards Committee. Prior roles include Senior Director at VCA Animal Hospitals, where leadership was provided for medical technology applications and the development of medical record functionalities, and Director of Hospital Computing at UC Davis Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital, focusing on the development of the veterinary health information system VMACS. Dennis possesses a DVM from the University of California, Davis, and a Bachelor's degree in Zoology with a minor in Computer Science from the same institution.
