David Pieper is an experienced educator and administrator with a comprehensive background in school operations, curriculum development, and community engagement. Currently serving as Principal at the Association House of Chicago since August 2012, David has previously held roles as Assistant Principal and Social Studies Teacher at Jane Addams High School. David’s accomplishments include developing interim assessments based on Common Core Standards, launching literacy initiatives, and creating outreach programs. David also served as a Quality Assurance Review Team Member with AdvancedEd and coordinated supplemental educational services focused on college readiness. David holds a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Development from Northeastern Illinois University and a Bachelor of Arts in History Education from Illinois State University.

Association House of Chicago is a non-profit organization offering human-services programs that address both immediate and personal development needs. Based in Humboldt Park, Association House works with a multicultural, largely Latino and African-American population of all ages in Chicago’s under-served neighborhoods. Association House promotes health and wellness, and creates opportunities for educational and economic advancement across five service areas: Child Welfare, Behavioral Health, Community Health, Workforce Development, and the Association House High School.
