Association MIMA develops pilot infrastructures that transform organic waste into useful local resources.

We design and test compact systems that combine:

waste collection and sorting
biological conversion (Black Soldier Fly)
local food production (eggs, horticulture)
water and energy management

The objective is simple:

turn waste into productive systems that reduce dependency on external inputs.

How we work

MIMA builds and validates real systems in real conditions.

We focus on:

technical feasibility
operational stability
economic viability

Current project

CORA — Micro Bio-District (MBD)

A pilot infrastructure designed to demonstrate how organic waste can be transformed into:

protein
food
agricultural inputs

Currently under development for implementation in Havana (Cuba)

🎓 Context

Developed within the UCreate program at the University of Lausanne
Positioning
