Association of Alaska School Boards
Lon Garrison serves as the Executive Director for the Association of Alaska School Boards, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing a range of services including policy assistance, superintendent searches, and governance development for school boards across Alaska since January 2021. Prior to this role, Lon spent over two decades at NSRAA, where initial responsibilities included field biology in Haines, advancing to hatchery management at Hidden Falls and Medvejie, and ultimately serving as Operations Manager. Lon holds a Master's degree in Fisheries from the University of Vermont and a Bachelor of Science degree in Fishery Biology from Colorado State University.
