Melissa Connolly currently serves as Assistant Vice President of Government Affairs at the Association of American Railroads since January 2022. Prior to this role, Melissa worked for Congressman Jerrold Nadler as Legislative Director from May 2013 to January 2022 and has held various legislative positions, including Legislative Assistant for Congresswoman Shelley Berkley and Congressman Jerry Costello. Early career experience includes roles as Field Coordinator for Andrew Rice’s U.S. Senate campaign and Legislative Fellow in the U.S. Congress. Educationally, Melissa holds a Masters in Public Policy from Duke University and a Bachelor’s degree in English and History from the University of Pennsylvania.
