Robert Kollmar

Robert Kollmar is a seasoned professional in the railroad industry with extensive experience spanning several decades. From March 2017 to the present, Robert serves as a Retired Railroad Executive, after a notable tenure as Executive Director of Engineering, Communications, and Train Control at the Association of American Railroads since December 2011. Previously, Robert held the position of Chief Engineering Officer at the New Orleans Public Belt Railroad from 2007 to 2011, and worked in various roles in railroading and consulting from 1976 to 2011. Additionally, Robert served Amtrak from 1991 to 2005 in several executive roles, including Vice President and General Superintendent of Operations - West. Robert holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Tri-State University, completed between 1971 and 1976, and furthered education at Drexel University during the 1980-1981 academic year.
