Hannah Gurga

Hannah Gurga has extensive experience in the financial services industry, holding various roles throughout their career. Hannah is currently the Director General at the Association of British Insurers, a position they have held since 2022. Prior to this, Hannah served as the Managing Director, Digital, Tech & Cyber and Chief of Staff at UK Finance from 2018 to 2022. Hannah also worked as the Group Chief of Staff at LCH from 2015 to 2017 and as the Head of Global Regulatory Strategy & Government Relations at the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) from 2014 to 2015. Hannah's earlier experience includes serving as the Head of European Affairs at ICAP from 2012 to 2013 and working in various financial services policy positions at HM Treasury from 2005 to 2012, where they ultimately led the team responsible for Securities and Markets.

Hannah Gurga has a BA Hons degree in English from the University of Oxford. In 2003-2004, they attended the Geneva Centre for Security Policy, where they focused on International Security Policy.
