Michael Cervantes is an experienced professional in regional affairs and community engagement, currently serving as a Senior Regional Affairs Representative at the Association of California Water Agencies since November 2016. In this role, Michael manages event logistics and program development, oversees outreach to over 170 member agencies, and drives high-impact initiatives to enhance member satisfaction. Prior experience includes serving as a District Representative for Congress Member Norma Torres in the U.S. House of Representatives and for State Senator Norma Torres in the California State Senate, where responsibilities involved legislative research and organizing community outreach events.
