Jim Holway

Jim Holway's work experience includes:

- Interim Executive Director at Community of Vermont Elders since October 2023. Jim is responsible for continuing the organization's legacy of educating and advocating for Vermonters as they age.

- President of the Board of Directors at Community of Vermont Elders since January 2019.

- Founder of Family Action Inc. since December 2022. Jim established this organization to have a greater impact on family issues by utilizing the tools of a PAC.

- Founder of PASTA program at Parent A Second Time Around since October 2022. Jim aims to raise public awareness about the potential impact on children who are in the primary care of someone other than their biological parents.

- Chief Resource Officer at De Jure Vermont Restoration Council, L3C since September 2021. The organization focuses on restorative projects in Vermont and New England.

- Founder and Membership Manager at 1205 Business Center LLC. since May 2021. Jim helped non-profit organizations reduce costs and consolidate office space during the COVID-19 pandemic.

- Co-Host and Founder at Association of Fundraising Professionals - Northern New England Chapter since April 2021.

Jim Holway attended Trinity College of Burlington from 1988 to 1990, where they earned an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Small Business Administration/Management. From 1998 to 2001, they studied at Burlington College, specializing in Social Services in Foster Care with a focus on Child Care and Support Services Management. In 1992 to 1993, they took courses in Computer Software Engineering at Saint Michael's College. Prior to that, from 1984 to 1988, Jim Holway studied for three years towards a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) at Johnson State College in Johnson, Vermont, and also gained experience working as a Computer Software Technology/Technician.
