Senior Director, Marketing And Communications at Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP Global)

Austin Alderdice has a diverse range of work experience that spans across various roles and industries. Austin began their career as an Operations Intern at Potomac Nationals in 2009, where they prepared and managed the field and stadium for Minor League Baseball games.

In 2010, they worked at Lagardère Sports, first as a Tournament Associate for the Legg Mason Tennis Classic, where they processed ticket sales and coordinated with sponsors. Later that year, they participated in on-field operations for the Military Bowl presented by Northrop Grumman, assisting the in-game operations crew and working with the game-break personality host.

In 2011, Austin worked as an On-Court Director for the Legg Mason Tennis Classic at Lagardère Sports, where they created daily run of show, PA scripts, and directed entertainment and advertisements during matches.

In 2012, they joined RedPeg Marketing as a Client Services Intern, coordinating experiential marketing events in the Washington metropolitan area on behalf of Washington Area Chevy Dealers.

From 2012 to 2015, Austin worked at SOCMA as a Marketing Services Assistant Manager and later as a Manager, overseeing up to 15 marketing campaigns simultaneously. Austin also managed and grew a media partnership program and spearheaded design projects.

Since 2015, Austin has been with the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP Global) in various roles. Austin started as a Marketing Manager and worked their way up to become the Senior Director of Marketing and Communications. In this position, they oversee all marketing and communications initiatives for AFP Global, including branding, marketing, and communications efforts for the Association.

Austin Alderdice graduated from the University of Dayton in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Sport Management.
