Gail Picco

Gail Picco possesses extensive experience in strategic leadership and editorial roles within the philanthropic and film sectors. As the Strategic Partnership Director for the Canadian Society of Cinematographers since January 2021, Gail has contributed to the growth of Canada’s film and television industry. In parallel, as the Canadian Editor for AFP Daily E-News, Gail writes on issues impacting the philanthropic sector. Previous roles include Editor In Chief at The Charity Report, where leadership and content strategy were key responsibilities, and a Strategist role with Transformational Philanthropy focused on driving impactful change for organizations. Gail has also held principal positions at The Osborne Group and Stephen Thomas Ltd, demonstrating a proven track record in organizational restructuring and fundraising strategy. As the President & CEO of Gail Picco Associates Inc, Gail managed diverse teams in the charity sector and published works promoting social justice through the Gail K. Picco imprint. Education is grounded in studies at Memorial University from 1976 to 1979.
