Shaquelle Ballou is a dedicated health professional with a strong background in maternal and child health. Currently serving as Program Manager at the Association of Maternal & Child Health Programs since April 2020, Shaquelle coordinates activities for the Safer Childbirth Cities Initiative Community of Practice and supports innovations aimed at reducing maternal mortality and improving birth outcomes, particularly focusing on racial equity. Prior experience includes roles as Recreation Manager at the Department of Recreational Sports, where Shaquelle promoted health and wellness among a diverse user base, and as Patient Care Coordinator at the UF Mobile Outreach Clinic, providing education on various health topics and serving as a wellness coach. Additionally, experience as a Perinatal Health Educator at UF Health involved collaboration on quality improvement initiatives in maternal care. Shaquelle holds a Master of Science in Health Education and a Bachelor of Science in Health Education from the University of Florida.
