Jenny Thomas is the Director, Marketing & Communications at Association of Performing Arts Professionals. Jenny has over a decade of experience working in marketing and communications, with a focus on the performing arts.
Jenny started their career in 2007 as the Director of Marketing and Communications at Keppler Speakers. Jenny was responsible for leading a multi-talented communications team and collaborating with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. Jenny was instrumental in establishing Keppler Speakers’ “Real People. Real Stories.” brand of inspirational speakers.
In 2012, Jenny left Keppler Speakers to pursue a freelance career, conducting audits and analysis of PBS' brand and competitor practices across third-party digital platforms. Jenny's recommendations and presentation steered PBS' brand tactics still in place today.
In their current role as Director, Marketing & Communications at Association of Performing Arts Professionals, Jenny leads a team of marketing and communications professionals who support the performing arts industry.
Thomas received their B.A. in mass communication/media studies from Tulane University. Jenny then went on to earn their M.A. in communication/cultural studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Finally, they earned their M.B.A. from the University of Utah - David Eccles School of Business.
