Chris Hildrew currently serves as Honorary Treasurer and Regional Representative for the South West on the ASCL Council, having joined the Association of School and College Leaders in September 2019. In addition to these roles, Chris has been the Headteacher at Churchill Academy & Sixth Form since January 2016 and previously held the position of Deputy Headteacher for Curriculum at Chew Valley School from September 2010 to December 2015. Early career experience includes leadership roles at The Long Eaton School, Toot Hill School, and Sutton Community Academy, specializing in English and curriculum development. Chris's educational background encompasses a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from the University of Oxford, a PGCE from the University of Nottingham, an MA in Children’s Literature, and an NPQH in School Leadership from the National College of Teaching and Leadership.
