Carl Hokanson, MSW, LGSW

Carl Hokanson, MSW, LGSW has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Carl is currently the Director of Examination Development for the ASWB - Association of Social Work Boards since August 2020. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Social Services at Capitol View Transitional Care from January 2007 to July 2020.

Additionally, Carl served as a Contracted Exam Item Writer for the Association of Social Work Boards from June 2007 to January 2009. Before that, they worked as a Licensed Social Worker at Martin Luther Manor from August 2004 to December 2006.

Their earlier experiences include being a Social Work Intern at the Minnesota Veterans Home - Hastings from September 2003 to May 2004, and at Dakota County from September 2002 to May 2003. Carl also worked as a Desktop Publisher at Gustafson Graphics from March 1999 to September 2002.

Carl Hokanson attended Gustavus Adolphus College from 1993 to 1997, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree. Carl then went on to pursue a Master of Social Work degree from Augsburg University from 2002 to 2004.
