Danielle D. Jones has a diverse work experience in various organizations and roles. Starting in 2011, they worked as a Health Programs Coordinator at the Community Partnership for Child Development, where they coordinated health literacy and nutrition education programs for preschoolers and parents. In 2012, they became a Member Advocate at Amerigroup, managing the State Fair Hearing process and supporting coordination for audits and accreditations. From 2014 to 2016, they served as a Health Promotion Officer at the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education, overseeing the development and implementation of health promotion processes for the military and civilian community. In 2016, they joined the March of Dimes as the Director of Maternal Child Health. From 2017 to 2022, they worked as the Director of Diversity and Health Equity at the American Academy of Family Physicians, guiding strategic priorities in addressing diversity and social determinants of health. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President of Diversity Equity and Inclusion at the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN), which they started in 2022.
Danielle D. Jones holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Health Policy & Management from the University of Kansas Medical Center. Additionally, they have a Master's of Public Health degree from the University of West Florida. Danielle D.'sundergraduate education was completed at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where they received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology.
