Emily Insalaco

Emily Insalaco is a highly experienced professional in the field of animal care and conservation, currently serving as the Sr. Director of Animal Care at the Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance since 2005. With expertise in behavioral husbandry, Emily has held various roles including Curator of Behavioral Husbandry and Animal Ambassadors. In addition to current involvement with the University of Colorado Colorado Springs' Women in Leadership Certificate Program and the Hair of the Dog conservation organization, Emily has an extensive history with the Association of Zoos and Aquariums as a Professional Fellow and coordinator for various animal programs. Emily's leadership roles include serving as President and Vice President on the Animal Behavior Management Alliance Board of Directors. Educational credentials include a Master of Arts in Zoo and Aquarium Leadership from George Mason University and a Bachelor of Applied Science with a concentration in Biology, Psychology, and Chemistry from Tufts University.
