Josh Courteau

Adjunct Course Instructor at Association of Zoos and Aquariums

Josh Courteau is an experienced training manager and technology manager with a strong background in education and conservation. Currently serving as Training Manager and LearnZIMS Teaching Partnership Coordinator at Species360 since October 2008, Josh leads membership training and develops training strategies for a global non-profit organization. In addition, Josh has been the Information Technology Manager at ORANJESCHOOL since September 2017, overseeing technology for a Dutch language and culture school in Seattle. As an Adjunct Course Instructor for the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, Josh teaches a best-practices course essential for AZA accreditation. Involvement with the IUCN's CEC Working Group on Media and Communications began in April 2013, focusing on sustainable practices and knowledge-sharing. Josh has previous conservation experience, including field research on Canis lupus and an internship with Wolfhaven International. Educational qualifications include an MA in Learning Technology from the University of St. Thomas and a BS in Biology from Northland College.
