Matt Gelvin

Matt Gelvin has been working at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park since May 2017, currently holding the position of Wildlife Care Supervisor and Lead Keeper. With experience dating back to 2004 at the Zoological Society of San Diego, Matt has worked as a Mammal Keeper. Additionally, Matt has been actively involved with the Association of Zoos and Aquariums since 2012, serving as the Thomson's gazelle Studbook Keeper and SSP Coordinator, as well as the Barasingha Studbook Keeper and SSP Coordinator. Matt earned a B.S. in Biology from Biola University in 2003.
