Jay Rine Cfa, Fsa, Maaa

Jay Rine, CFA, FSA, MAAA has a diverse work experience in the insurance industry. Jay started their career in 1995 as a Senior Actuarial Consultant at Prudential Insurance, where they worked until 1998. Jay then joined Loyal American Life as an Associate Valuation Actuary from 1998 to 2000. Jay then worked at ING (now Voya Financial) as a Senior Actuarial Associate from 2000 to 2002.

In 2004, they joined Nationwide Insurance as AVP Finance, where they led three teams and was responsible for financial management of 84 cost centers with an annual budget of $182 million. Jay worked at Nationwide Insurance until 2017.

From 2017 to 2023, Jay worked at Cypress Property & Casualty Insurance Company, where they held the positions of Chief Financial Officer and later President. Jay then joined AssuranceAmerica as the Senior Vice President of Finance & Accounting, leading two teams and overseeing financial reporting to senior leadership, the board, auditors, and state regulators.

Jay also served as a Board Member of Cypress Texas Insurance Company from 2018 to 2020.

Jay Rine, CFA, FSA, MAAA completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematical Sciences from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 1995. Jay later pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) from West Virginia University, completing it in 2004.
