Emily Liu

Emily Liu, JD, currently serves as the Global Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Assurant, a position held since October 2020, after previously serving as Global Manager of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Prior experience includes the role of Associate Director of Employer Relations at Emory University's Goizueta Business School and Director of Diversity & Inclusion at Emory University School of Law. Liu began a legal career as an Associate in the Corporate Real Estate Department at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP & Affiliates and participated in pro bono work involving U Visa and political asylum petitions. Educational qualifications include a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School, and a Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, in Journalism with minors in Politics and Spanish from Ithaca College.
