Shamik Desai

Shamik Desai has over 19 years of experience in various roles within the fields of database administration and DevSecOps. Currently serving as a Senior DevSecOps Engineer at Assurant since September 2012, Shamik has also held the position of Senior Database Engineer at the same company. Prior experience includes roles as a Senior Database Administrator at InComm, and as a Senior SQL Server Database Administrator at Pfizer. Shamik began a career in technology as a SQL Server Database Administrator at Merrill Lynch and previously worked as a System Administrator at Contests2win.com and Pramukhswami IIT. Shamik holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Gujarat University, earned between 1991 and 1994.
