Andrea Riordan

Andrea Riordan, CPA, MST has over 9 years of experience in tax and financial services. Andrea is currently serving as the VP Tax at Assured Guaranty, where they started in November 2017. Prior to that, Andrea worked at Deloitte US as a Tax Manager from August 2015 to November 2017. Andrea also worked at CBIZ MHM, LLC as a Tax Senior Associate, specializing in industries such as apparel/retail, manufacturing, financial services, and information technology. Andrea has experience in reviewing tax compliance forms for consolidated multistate corporations and multi-tiered corporate and pass-through structures. Andrea has prepared complete ASC 740 tax provision calculations, including FIN 48 analyses for research and development credits and DPAD. Before joining CBIZ MHM, LLC, Andrea worked as a Tax Senior at EisnerAmper LLP, where they gained experience in healthcare, entertainment, financial services, and manufacturing industries. Andrea prepared and reviewed federal and state tax returns for corporate and pass-through entities. Andrea started their tax career as an Experienced Tax Associate at BDO USA, LLP. Prior to that, they worked as a Commercial Insurance Sales Assistant at Farm Bureau Financial Services. Andrea began their professional journey as a Tax Intern at Wolf & Company LLP, where they gained experience in preparing individual, fiduciary, and pass-through returns. Andrea also assisted in tax research projects and gained multi-jurisdictional experience by preparing U.S. federal returns for Canadian clients.

Andrea Riordan, CPA, MST completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Accounting from Northern Illinois University from 2006 to 2008. Andrea further pursued their education at Arizona State University, where they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Taxation from 2009 to 2010.
