Kal Attia

Kal Attia, MBA has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Kal currently holds the position of Vice President, Agency Sales Team Leader at AssuredPartners since June 2023. Prior to that, they worked at CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield in various roles including as a Business Development Consultant - Large Group from October 2019 to June 2023, an Account Executive 300-999 from November 2016 to October 2019, and a Broker Executive 51-199 from December 2013 to November 2016.

Before joining CareFirst, Kal worked as an Account Executive 2-99 at UnitedHealthcare from February 2011 to December 2013 and as a Health and Benefits Representative at Paychex from May 2010 to February 2011. Kal also had a successful career at Priority Insurance Group where they held the role of Principal; Health Insurance Broker from September 2004 to May 2010.

Earlier in their career, Kal worked at UGA as a District Manager from October 2002 to September 2004 and as an Insurance Agent from September 2001 to October 2002. Kal started their career at Merrill Lynch as a Financial Consultant - Internship from January 2000 to May 2001. With their extensive experience in the insurance industry and strong leadership skills, Kal has consistently contributed to the growth and success of the organizations they have worked for.

Kal Attia, MBA has a strong educational background in business and healthcare. They obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Salisbury University - Perdue School of Business in 2020. Prior to that, they completed a degree in Business with a focus on Finance from the same institution in 2001. They also have specialized certifications including Group Benefits Disability Specialist (GBDS) from The National Underwriter Company in 2019, and a Life and Health Insurance License from MD, DC and VA Department of Insurance in 2001. Additionally, they pursued further education in navigating healthcare at Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business.
