Brian Buvinghausen

As the Chief Architect at Assurely, Buvy leads engineering, product, and system operations, developing strategic technology solutions to support Assurely’s team and products.

Assurely is the third innovative insurance company where Buvy has led charge in technology development, and he brings a wealth of software architecture and design experience to table. Buvy was the Solutions Architect at Esurance (acquired by Allstate) where he led the digital transformation initiative. Outside of insurance, Buvy has helped solve some of the largest problems in parts distribution and energy.

Prior to Assurely, he was employee #3 and Chief Architect at Pie Insurance, where he led the team of engineers who built one of the fastest-growing InsurTech companies the world. Buvy completed high school two years early and graduated with honors from the University of Texas. He has a BBA in Management Information Systems.

Originally from Texas, Buvy has lived in 5 different time zones and is a Master Scuba Diver. He rides a Harley when he isn't skiing on a mountain or teaching people how to dive.
